Recruiting
New Member Recruiting is a fact of life for private clubs. For a variety of perfectly good reasons, members come …and go. We regret every single member who departs, but we also wish them well.
Throughout the year, as members we receive “good news e-mails” announcing the names of new applicants for membership. These postings are there to inform you that someone new has applied and if you know the person/family, to give you time to consider whether you support their application. This is a good thing – for the Club, for you, and for these people who soon may be members! The Membership Committee will interview all candidates for membership. If you have an opinion, contact the Membership Chair.
Sponsoring New Members
As you know, it is the responsibility of current members to sponsor new members. We should invite guests to enjoy our club and when appropriate, sponsor new members to everyone’s benefit. Our goal is to develop a wait list – this can only be done with your support.
You have member information to share with friends, family, neighbors, work acquaintances, or members from other clubs. We have new member classes that may be of interest to your friends.
The Board established a permanent program to express the Club’s appreciation to current members who sponsor new members. The benefits are clear –
- There is always an incentive to bring in any class of new member.
- All sponsors will be treated the same from year to year.
- The incentive is unique, differentiating our Club as responsive and innovative.
With your support, there will many more new members being sponsored and joining our “club family” this year and next.
If you have a guest to invite, do it now! If a friend of yours would want to try out the course before considering a membership, please contact the Pro Shop. And thanks.
